What we hold, and why.

Street Smarts is a paid field guide, not an advertising business. We keep as little as we can get away with, and we do not sell or rent anything about you to anyone.

What we collect

Your account. If you create an account, we store your email address, your name if you give one, and the date you signed up. That is how access to the guide is recognised when you come back.

Your notes and ticks. Place notes, custom rules and checklist progress are saved to your account so they follow you between visits.

Payments. Card details are entered on a secure checkout page and handled by our payments provider, Base44 Payments. We never see or store your card number. We keep a record of the purchase itself — what was bought, when, and the amount — so access can be granted and problems can be traced.

Messages. If you use the contact form, we keep your name, your email address and what you wrote, for as long as it takes to answer and to keep a record of the fix.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data, we do not add you to mailing lists you did not ask for, and we do not share your details with third parties beyond the services that run the app: hosting, account sign-in, payments and email delivery.

Removing your data

Write to us through the contact page from the address on your account and we will delete your account and the notes saved to it. Purchase records are kept for as long as accounting rules require.
